buttercup done the real work. She spent hours digging those up at the library so I coud post them. After they were originaly posted on the other board, I deleted them from my computer. She was the one smart enough to keep a back up copy.

To the Register- Herald, the survivors of the victims of the cases discussed in these threads are pleading for a champion of injustice. We long for the day of the fall of unworthy leaders and mis-guided governments. Indeed you are correct - with the power and freedom of the press comes the responsibility to be fair.
All the threads in this forum have been based upon court documents and news articles. The public has now witnessed false charges, false imprisonment, retaliation, intimidation, witness tampering...and death. We look forward to your newspaper making sure culpable officials are taken out of office.
As you can see, our lives are on the line. We are endangering ourselves this very moment by angering "the powers that be". We have placed ourselves and remaining evidence in imminent danger.
We ask that you consider the widows/widowers/children/families left behind from these horrific cases. We are respectful of the incovenience this may impose upon your publication for a short while, and ask that you consider the suffering and pain we live with for a lifetime.
We anxiously await the day when public officials answer to these sworn statements and court documents. We welcome the Register-Herald's offer of assistance.
The truth shall prevail.
Put Up or Shut Up.

Not from a newspaper, but from the FBI website. This has nothing to do with the area corruption we are discussing - I just thought it was rather interesting... www.fbi.gov/hq/ood/opca/outreach/academy.htmWant to find out first hand how the FBI works? Hear how the Bureau tracks down spies and terrorists? Learn how to collect and preserve evidence? See what it is like to fire a weapon and put yourself in the shoes of a Special Agent making a split-second, life-or-death decision? If you are a leader in your community, you just might be able to do that and more––through an FBI Citizens’ Academy, open for business in all 56 of our field offices. Who attends? Business, civic, and religious leaders, each nominated by a Bureau employee or a previous Academy graduate. You must be at least 21 years old (with no prior felony convictions) and must live and work in the area covered by the field office sponsoring the academy. Please note: Because classified techniques used in criminal and national security cases are discussed, nominees must undergo a background check and get an interim security clearance. Who teaches? Special Agents in Charge of that field office, their senior managers and senior agent experts. For how long? Classes generally meet 10 times (eight on weeknights and two on Saturday) for three hours each session. Each session has around 20-30 students. The curriculum? Fascinating! Practical problems involving evidence collection and preservation. FBI jurisdiction and congressional oversight. Structure and operation of FBI field offices and satellite agencies. Fingerprint, forensic, technology, training, and other services Policies and issues: ethics, discipline, communications, drug enforcement, civil rights, and future criminal trends. Firearms training. To find out more about Citizens' Academies, contact your local field office.
